Working Title: ACCOUNTANT I :
Salary: 945.37 Biweekly

Perform all actions necessary for the accurate processing of Tacachale resident payroll, including but not limited to the conversion of piece rate payroll to an accurate and payable dollar payment, and the necessary process to exempt therapeutic wage earners from taxes. Maintain all payroll files for Tacachale residents, and have documentation available for DCF Adult Payment staff, Social Security Administration, and Tacachale Social Workers. Provide data to Human Resources for processing in People First.
Audit all Purchasing Card (PCard) transactions for the center. Verify the validity of all charges and credits and ensure Tacachales compliance with Florida Statutes and agency guidelines. Monitor PCard transactions to ensure that transactions are processed within 10 calendar days.
Prepare initial bank to book reconciliations for local funds (Client, Trust Account, and Revolving) monthly. Report any inconsistencies directly to the Accounting Services Supervisor II and/or Division Director.
Provide information for Medicaid ICF Cost Reports annually for seven (7) Medicaid certified facilities.
Perform FLAIR postings as required, including salary restorations and journal transfers.
Perform other related duties as required, including but not limited to resident inventory audits.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of accounting principles, practices and procedures, and methods of data collection.
Ability to prepare reports and maintain a variety of accounting records.
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments, communicate effectively, establish and maintain effective working relationships with others and to utilize problem solving techniques.
A High School Diploma, or its equivalent.
This position is located at a 24: hour facility. Working hours are Monday thru Friday, from 8:00 a.m., to 5:00 p.m. Regular Off Days: Saturday and Sunday.
