Summary: Responsible for ensuring that production scheduling and execution is effective. Coordinate with other functions to meet safety, customer, quality, delivery and cost objectives. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Manage and direct assigned department personnel to meet production schedules, operational objectives, and quality targets. 2. Interface with other functions to optimize current product lines and introduce new products into the standard production process. 3. Prepare AOP and quarterly forecasts for department expenses. Take necessary actions to meet AOP. 4. Maintain compliance with relevant regulations and standards including safety, quality and environmental systems. 5. Arranges programs, projects, goals and metrics to lead the manufacturing organization. 6. Prepares manufacturing operation and investment plans. 7. Executes approved cost savings initiatives. 8. Ensures there is an optimum production process as regards routing, supplies and manpower levels. 9. Supervises, selects, develops, coaches and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient manufacturing. Take action to improve employee engagement. 10. Assists in managing pilot production and production preparation activities. 11. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: · Possesses a strong working knowledge of manufacturing, including the underlying theories and concepts of lean manufacturing and product engineering. · Requires excellent organizational and leadership skills coupled with good oral and written communication skills. · Demonstrated problem solving ability · Ability to prioritize production based on customer commitments and material availability. · Understanding of labor planning and estimating. · Familiar with process flow concepts and shop floor controls. · Ability to learn and utilize company provided software such as MS office and SAP. Experience/Education: · Requires a BS degree in Industrial or Electronics Engineering or equivalent combination of educational and manufacturing experience. · Five to ten years manufacturing and/or project management experience, including supervision. · Experience in a regulated industry · Excellent technical understanding of how to apply and manage business objectives Philips is an equal opportunity employer.
