Human Resources Generalist III Apply nowJob no: Work type:Staff Full:Time Location:Main Campus (Gainesville, FL) Categories:Human Resources Department: : EG:PERSONNEL / PAYROLL Classification Title: Human Resources Generalist III Job Description: HUMAN RESOURCES: Serve as college liaison with HR Central, Employee Relations, Academic Personnel, Student Employment, and other core offices as required. Serve as Level One Approver for all college ePAF actions. Contact department managers as needed to inquire about ePAF actions, specific information and incomplete forms uploaded. Review and process employee ePAF actions, which include management of position descriptions, hires, terminations, special pay increases (SPIA?s), leave cash outs and other on:line processing. Serve as the college Level One Approver for the Careers at UF/Job Requisition on:line system. Serves as a back:up to the Business Administration Specialist II inputs position vacancies for the DeanA?s office, places Ads in outside venues. Reviews and approves TEAMS letter of offers, and assist the Associate Director in drafting faculty Offer and Startup Letters. Through coordination with Associate Director may serve as college liaison with Employee Relations for non:renewals, disciplinary actions, layoffs of college employees. Includes preparation of letters to employee with templates received from Employee Relations to ensure compliance with federal and state laws, rules and regulations, university and college policies and procedures. Works closely with the Associate Director for compliance with the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Ensure requirements are met for proper reporting forms for outside employment/conflict of interest, alternate work location, nepotism, extra state compensation and lump sum payments. Review, route and obtain approval for requests. Responsible for the development and revision of position descriptions and preparation of special pay increases for college employees. Audit departmentA?s proposed position reclassifications and new positions and provide recommendations to the Associate Director. Coordinates with the BAS II to input new and updated position descriptions by ePAF as necessary. Work with the HR Classification and Compensation office on position updates, transfers and reclassifications for departments and college. Ensure punctual processing of personnel evaluation forms for TEAMS/USPS employees by communicating procedures and deadline information to departments and deanA?s office employees. Collect all college TEAMS/USPS evaluations for review of completion and filing before they are submitted to HR. Provide guidance to supervisors as needed on the evaluation procedures and rating system. Collects new faculty hire information from departments and submits to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for the New Faculty Orientation. Run reports on HR/position/salary data as requested by the Associate Director, Executive Director or Dean using a variety of UF applications within PeopleSoft. Responsible for maintaining a detailed college personnel database, regularly compiling and analyzing data and providing reports as requested. ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES: Review UF Administrative Memos to keep appropriate personnel apprised of changes relating to policies and procedures. Works with Associate Director of HR to maintain current information on college and departmental policies and guidelines so that inconsistencies between these and the federal and state laws, rules, regulations, Collective Bargaining Agreement, and University policies and procedures can be resolved or recommendations made to the Dean. Periodically checks website for active links and correct information. Coordinates with the ADHR to collect information and writes new or revises existing policies and procedures as appropriate.
