This position is primarily working directly with intellectually disabled adults, supervising and training them in housekeeping/janitorial skills. In addition, the incumbent is expected to maintain written and electronic records relating to payroll, performance and behavior, as well as attend meetings and write reports related to their assigned caseload. The incumbent:

Supervises resident caseload, responsible for all aspects of caseloads well-being while caseload is in their care.

Complies with all special instructions pertaining to caseload such as; dietary considerations, light duty restrictions, and behavior support plans.

Transports caseload to and from multiple worksites on campus daily and off campus when necessary.

Instructs caseload in safe and proper housekeeping practices, ensures customer service and housekeeping skills.

Plans work schedules.

Liaison to home staff.

Responsible for quality of work performed.

Ensures compliance with all pertinent OSHA and ACHA local standards and guidelines.

Performs administrative duties.

Manages supplies.

Documents hours worked and responsible for accurate and timely submission of timesheets, PPS notes, ISP summaries, and assessments.

Attends ISP and IDT meetings.

Acts as replacement vocational instructor.

Attends in-service training and other staff meetings as necessary.

Attends mandatory training and/or maintains certification in Prevention and Safety Strategies (P.A.S.S.), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Direct Care In-Service.

Completes annual health screening.

Performs other duties as directed.

Knowledge, skills and abilities:

Ability to operate a computer

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Ability to perform mathematical computations at high school level

Ability to Ability to take, pass and maintain certification in Prevention and Safety Strategies (P.A.S.S.), Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Direct Care In-Service

Knowledge and the ability to work with the intellectually disabled

Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder

Ability to lift at least 40 pounds

MINIMUM REQUIREMENT(S):

You must have a valid Florida Drivers License to apply for this position. (If initially hired with an out-of-state license the Florida resident must obtain a valid Florida State drivers license within 30-days of hire. License suspended or revoked for any reason, work permits (Business purpose/Employment/Education only license) and some types of restricted license are not acceptable. License that have Corrective Lenses Restricted, are acceptable, provided the driver wears the corrective lenses while operating the vehicle.

<p>PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

One year or more experience working directly with intellectually disabled adults.

WORK SCHEDULE:

This position is located at a 24- hour facility. The assigned shift is from 8:00 AM, to 5:00 PM. Off days are Saturday and Sunday.
