Establish and maintain an inventory of supplies, materials, equipment and food to be provided to the Food Service department within Tacachale. Review daily, weekly and/or monthly inventory levels to ensure an acceptable level of inventory and supplies are maintained. Initiate purchase orders for items to maintain stock levels and obtain special supplies and materials as required. Ensure proper & timely receiving in MFMP (My Florida Market Place) and documents are forwarded to accounting with the established timeframes.
Oversee, inspect and organize the food service dry and refrigerated/frozen storage areas for space, utilization, cleanliness and safety standards. Conduct physical inventory of items on a periodic basis. Rotate stock and dispose of outdated inventory and supplies as needed to maintain a quality product. Coordinate the receipt and inspection of supplies. Oversee the loading, packaging and distribution of supplies.
Responsible for filling pull sheets, ensure the quality of the product and the accuracy of the count. Ensure supplies are issued from stock and delivered to Food Service department in a timely manner. Inform Food Service Director II and Operations and Management Consultant I of delivery discrepancies or problems with inventory. Maintain a working knowledge of the computer systems utilized in Food Service operation. Prepare product item description for the computer systems utilized in food service operations and purchasing needs.
Maintain a safe, orderly and clean working environment by observing good storage procedures. Assist in the care and maintenance of the storeroom, supplies and equipment.
Provide advice and technical assistance to other Stores Analyst and purchasing staff regarding any stock related issues.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds</p>
Must be able to operate a fork lift.
Must have the ability to conduct physical inventory of items
Must have the ability to establish and maintain inventory control records
Must have the ability to prepare and review purchase requisitions
Must have the ability to communicate effectively.
Must have knowledge of record-keeping procedures.
