Your Challenge Senior Software Development Engineer performs state-of-the-art product development activities, including web-, object- and component-oriented design and software development Your Responsibilities - Supporting all phases of the development of desktop and web-based applications - Authorizing technical design documentation and leading design reviews throughout the product development lifecycle - Developing advanced multi-threaded algorithms for image processing and analysis - Design, implementation, and evaluation of SW technologies for use in Clinical Solutions projects. - Rapid prototyping, iteration & refinement to help solidify user requirements - Support product realization through established processes - Support internal customers within the business such as manufacturing, service and customer service Your Team We have a dynamic and rewarding career opportunity for Software Development Engineer in Gainesville, FL. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Mastery of object- and component-oriented software design and implementation - Mastery of advanced image analysis and image processing techniques - Mastery and experience developing in .NET with C#, WPF, XAML - Mastery of the MS development environments including Visual Studio - Experience developing web-based applications with tools including ASP.NET, HTML5, CSS, REST, JSON, XML, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Experience/Education: - Master’s degree in CS or equivalent and 10-15 years SW design experience - Experience with graphics programming (e.g., OpenGL) - Experience with database design - Experience with medical informatics including working knowledge of HL7 & DICOM - Experience in Agile software development, continuous integration, build automation - Experience with software development in a regulated industry - Experience with the Philips SW Platform 1.0 / 2.0 development Philips is an equal opportunity employer.
