PRIMARY PURPOSE: Under limited supervision, analyze and develop system requirements, program specifications and code/unit test to meet business requirements/specifications for large projects. Develop or contribute to deliverable(s) for additional levels of testing and support test execution including system level and integration tests. Resolve production problems of medium to high complexity. The incumbents of this position are expected to perform all other related duties as assigned. The Advanced Technology Solutions (ATS) team is responsible for building customer facing web applications, and driver facing web & mobile applications that span key business areas. In addition the team manages solutions for driver mobility, document imaging, Java middleware, and messaging environments. Duties would include Web Service / API development, Graphical User Interface Design & Development in the Web and Mobility environments. The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to develop in Java and related technologies. Specifically, the successful candidate should be able to: Design, develop and implement enterprise scale solutions to support the organization's business strategy and goals. Communicate with business analysts to fully understand requirements, provide feedback, and request clarification as needed. Review requirements and data models and translate into responsible applications and architecture Ensure solutions meet IMC's SOA & GUI standards Track and resolve software defects Support test execution including system level and integration tests Ideal Skills/Knowledge Includes Java J2EE and related technologies Java Frameworks: Hibernate, Spring, CXF Web Frameworks: Angular, Vaadin JBoss App Server, JBoss Fuse, Tomcat Persistence Framework: JPA, Spring Web Services: SOA, WSDL, XML, XSLT, XQuery, REST, JSON PostgreSQL, MS SQL UNIX / Linux Shell Scripting Unit Testing and Production Support Experience in an Agile environment Excellent analytical / problem solving Strong verbal and written communication Positive Attitude Self-motivated Able to work as a team and individually Provide leadership for team members Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience. Requires two (2) years qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment. A related advanced degree may offset the related experience requirements.
